Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) has announced a major milestone with new orders worth approximately INR 1,381 crore from Adani Green Energy Limited. Alongside the order, the company has also entered into a 5-year Strategic Partnership Framework Agreement to support Adani Green’s future renewable energy rollout across India.
Project Details
The latest order covers a Balance of System (BOS) package for three large solar power projects coming up at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat — one of the world’s biggest renewable energy development zones. The order includes supply of goods and on-site services.
SWREL is already executing around 6 GW of work in the Khavda region, with nearly 5 GW set for completion within this fiscal year. The additional 1 GW project further strengthens its footprint and leadership in the state’s rapidly expanding solar ecosystem.
Partnership Strengthens India’s RE Push
According to the company, this marks its largest domestic EPC order of the current fiscal. SWREL’s Global CEO, Chandra Kishore Thakur, said the long-term partnership with India’s biggest renewable energy developer highlights the trust in the company’s engineering capabilities and speed of execution.
He noted that the agreement reinforces SWREL’s position as a top solar EPC player and reflects strong momentum in India’s renewable energy market.
Strong Order Pipeline
With this new win, SWREL has crossed INR 6,450 crore in order inflows for the fiscal year. The company stated that its overall project pipeline remains robust, signaling continued growth for India’s renewable energy sector.
