October 9, 2025: Engineering giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced that its Hydrocarbon Onshore business has secured an ultra-mega order worth over ₹15,000 crore to build a Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) plant and associated facilities in the Middle East.
The project, won in consortium with Greece-based Consolidated Contractors Group (CCC), marks one of L&T’s largest overseas EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contracts in recent years.
Project Details
Under the agreement:
- L&T, as the lead partner, will handle engineering and procurement,
- CCC will oversee construction activities.
The plant will process Rich Associated Gas (RAG) sourced from both offshore and onshore oil fields. The gas will be treated to remove impurities like H₂S, CO₂, and H₂O, producing value-added products such as:
- Lean sales gas
- Ethane
- Propane
- Butane
- Hydrocarbon condensate
The project also includes integration with existing facilities and installation of utilities and offsite systems.
