JSW Energy Commissions 114 MW of New Renewable Capacity in September 2025

October 4, 2025: JSW Energy Limited has announced that it successfully commissioned 114 MW of renewable energy capacity in September 2025. The new additions include 21 MW of solar power and 93 MW of wind power, bringing the company’s total installed capacity to 13,211 MW.


Strong Renewable Energy Growth

During Q2 FY26, JSW Energy added a total of 443 MW of renewable capacity, including a 20 MW floating solar project at Vijayanagar.
With these additions, renewables now make up 57% of JSW Energy’s total generation capacity, consisting of:

  • Wind: 3,709 MW
  • Solar: 2,213 MW
  • Hydro: 1,631 MW

🌍 JSW Energy’s Long-Term Vision

JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 30.5 GW, which includes:

  • 13.2 GW operational capacity
  • 12.5 GW under construction
  • 150 MW hydro capacity under acquisition
  • 4.6 GW in the project pipeline

In addition, the company has 29.4 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity, combining 26.4 GWh of hydro pumped storage and 3.0 GWh of battery energy storage systems.

JSW Energy aims to reach 30 GW of total generation and 40 GWh of storage capacity by FY2030, while targeting carbon neutrality by 2050.
