Infosys has announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at accelerating enterprise adoption of generative artificial intelligence across global industries. The partnership brings together Infosys Topaz, the company’s AI-first suite of services and platforms, and Amazon Q Developer, AWS’s generative AI-powered assistant, to enhance software delivery, internal operations, and client value.
The collaboration focuses on integrating advanced generative AI capabilities into key enterprise functions, including software development, human resources, recruitment, sales, and vendor management. By combining Infosys Topaz with Amazon Q Developer, Infosys is working to simplify complex workflows, improve accuracy, and shorten project timelines across its global delivery operations.
One of the key areas of impact is the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The integration enables automated documentation and provides intelligent assistance for code generation, debugging, testing, and legacy code modernization. This approach helps development teams improve productivity while maintaining quality and consistency, particularly in large-scale enterprise environments.
Beyond internal transformation, Infosys is also leveraging AWS generative AI services to deliver innovative client solutions across industries such as manufacturing, telecom, financial services, and consumer goods. In sectors like sports and entertainment, Infosys is combining Infosys Topaz with Amazon Bedrock to enable real-time, personalized digital experiences, helping organizations engage millions of users more effectively.
Commenting on the collaboration, Sandeep Dutta, President, AWS India and South Asia, noted that Infosys is setting new benchmarks in enterprise transformation through the large-scale adoption of generative AI. He highlighted that the combined strengths of Amazon Q and Infosys Topaz will help organizations innovate faster, enhance operational agility, and unlock differentiated value.
Balakrishna D. R. (Bali), Executive Vice President and Global Services Head for AI and Industry Verticals at Infosys, stated that the collaboration is reshaping how enterprise value is created and delivered. He emphasized that integrating Amazon Q Developer with Infosys Topaz is enabling both internal transformation and new possibilities for clients to reimagine critical business functions with greater precision and agility.
From a market perspective, the announcement comes at a time when Infosys stock has gained more than 10% over the past three months, reflecting improving investor sentiment. The company also maintains strong fundamentals, with a return on equity exceeding 27%. Infosys continues to reward shareholders through consistent dividends, having declared ₹23 per share in October and ₹22 per share in May last year.
Overall, the Infosys–AWS collaboration underscores a growing industry trend where enterprises are moving beyond experimentation to real-world deployment of generative AI.
